Atlantic Investment Management ("AIM") is an independent investment firm with $3.8 billion under management. The firm offers five investment products: 

          a concentrated long-only U.S. equity fund.
          a traditional long/short U.S. equity hedge fund.
          a traditional long/short non-U.S. equity hedge fund.
          a concentrated long-only European equity fund.
          a concentrated long-only Asian equity fund. 

On the long side, we concentrate our research and capital on undervalued, mid-cap publicly-traded equities. Our focus is on profitable and well-financed firms, which are temporarily out-of-favor and could be characterized as earnings turnaround, restructuring and/or takeover candidates. We use a hands-on, bottom-up, fundamental value approach to investment selection and analysis and "constructive shareholder activism", where appropriate.

On the short side, we are highly diversified, opportunistic and relatively short term oriented. We distinguish between market, valuation and fundamental shorts to achieve a degree of non-correlation within the short portfolio. Our short exposure ranges from 10%-40% of net assets in the hedge fund.
